Xelectrics 2025: A Weekend of Testing and Top Performance for Ambrosini e-Racing

Last weekend, on March 1st and 2nd, the first race of the Xelectrics 2025 championship was scheduled at the Albaida circuit in Valencia. Ambrosini e-Racing, always at the forefront of supporting its riders and customers, backed the Xela team scooters with Jordi Gaya and Fran Falcon, along with single riders Javi Espinosa (sponsored by Sabway, a renowned Spanish franchise chain specializing in electric vehicles), Ronni, Jeff, and Izzan. They all raced on e-scooters equipped with Ambrosini e-Racing electronics, powered by Ambrosini motors, and fitted with our RS-500s controllers. Additionally, Javi Espinosa will compete in the Eskootr Championship ESC 2025 World Championship this year.
A Weekend Marked by Unstable Weather and Technical Challenges
A week before the race, weather forecasts predicted rain throughout the weekend. According to Xelectrics regulations, races are not held if there is water on the track. However, all our riders headed to Valencia, hoping for a change in the weather.
Friday: Successful Free Practice and Data Analysis
Friday's free practice proved extremely productive. We gathered numerous data on the new electronic configurations, and our riders posted impressive lap times, emerging as the fastest on the track compared to other teams. In the afternoon, after analyzing the riders' feedback, we further refined the programming of the RS-500s controllers, increasing our gap from the competition. Jordi Gaya set the fastest lap, finishing 2 seconds ahead of the second-fastest rider.
Saturday: Technical Testing in the Rain and Innovative Solutions
On Saturday morning, with rain In the forecast, the organizers canceled all official qualifying sessions according to the regulations, allowing only free practice sessions. Although some riders were not ready to race in wet conditions, our team had the exclusive advantage of fully waterproof vehicles. With Jordi Gaya and Fran Falcon, we transformed the canceled race into an opportunity for intensive testing. We fine-tuned the e-scooters and tested various PMT rain tire solutions: PMT Junior R, PMT Rain, and PMT Slick R, analyzing performance and developing strategies to tackle heavy rain conditions.
Sunday: Extreme Race Simulation and High Performance
On Sunday, with even heavier rain and critical track conditions, we conducted a race simulation with Jordi Gaya. The results were outstanding: lap times demonstrated the effectiveness of the RS-500s controller programming. The vehicle performed with exceptional stability and maneuverability, even under the most challenging conditions. Ambrosini e-Racing's RS-500s controllers are unique, delivering high performance combined with True waterproof resistance, enabling our riders to face any weather without compromise.
Crash Testing: Safety and Innovation
Safety is a top priority at Ambrosini e-Racing. In a controlled setting and under the supervision of professional motorsport engineers, we simulated two crashes for Jordi Gaya. By remotely reprogramming the controller during the ride, we induced a rear wheel slip under heavy rain and nearly unrideable track conditions. These tests allowed the rider to learn how to fall safely, minimizing injury risks, while providing us with crucial data on the behavior of our e-scooters during an incident. The results were extremely positive: neither the vehicle nor Jordi Gaya sustained any damage, confirming the effectiveness of our safety protocols.
Conclusions: Ready for New Challenges in the Xelectrics 2025 Championship
Despite the absence of an official race, the weekend at Albaida, Valencia was a valuable opportunity to collect data and enhance the performance of our e-scooters. The results provide a strong impetus for the upcoming rounds of the Xelectrics 2025 championship. Ambrosini e-Racing continues to provide its worth on the track, offering cutting-edge technologies and ever more high-performance solutions. We are ready to face new challenges and push the limits of electric vehicle performance.
See you at the next race!
